Prophetic Declarations for the Azusa Street Revival

• Father, I break the power of false accusation which was spoken against the Pentecostal Movement declaring that it was from the devil. I bind the revocation of October 1907, which states, “The spirit in Los Angeles (Azusa Street) was not the Spirit of the Lord but a lying spirit.” I declare John 8:32 over the Azusa Street Revival, “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” I declare that the Pentecostal Movement was divinely orchestrated by the Lord and resulted in the manifestation of signs, wonders and miracles.

• I break the back of the spirit of intimidation that sought to damage or halt the move of the Holy Spirit. I declare every critical statement, spoken or written, to discredit the Azusa Street Revival or Pentecostal Movement be cancelled and disavowed in the Name of Jesus.

• I cast down division and discord that strongly divided the Body of Christ as a result of “skepticism” from Germany that planted doubt in the hearts and minds of God’s people. I declare Psalm 133:1, 3 which states, “Dwelling together in unity commands God’s blessings.”

• I break the negative words spoken by B. Kuhn, a German writer who described the Pentecostal Movement as a disease of epidemic proportions. Disease is a malady, a disorder.

Therefore, I decree the Pentecostal Movement is not a malady or disorder adversely affecting the Body of Christ but it is a healthy spiritual action of the Body. I speak life and it more abundantly. I decree that the Pentecostal Movement is globally received and as a result, will be viral worldwide.

• I bind a spirit of bigotry that warned people against the Pentecostal’s. Father, I bind and cast down every premature judgment or unwarranted opinion in the Name of Jesus. I break prejudice over Your true sons and daughters, and declare we are one Body representing all races, biblical creeds and socioeconomic classes.

• Father, I break a spirit of rejection over the Pentecostal Movement when it was denounced in Kassel, Germany by the majority of Evangelicals who agreed with the Berlin Declarations that rejected the movement as diabolical (devilish). I reverse the Evangelical denouncement and reject the term “devilish” over the Pentecostal Movement. I decree the Pentecostal Movement is highly favored and divinely established.

• Father God, I bind up and cast down the arguments of those who declared Los Angeles was a city of demonic activity because of the Pentecostal Movement. I decree that Los Angeles and the Azusa Street Revival are dedicated to Your purposes and that the curse released by the many who attempted to undermine this movement is reversed.

• I bind and break the complaint that the Azusa Street Revival was a false move of the Spirit. I decree that the Azusa Street Holy Spirit outpouring was not a counterfeit move of God, and what the few supernaturally experienced has spread and will continue to spread by the Might and Power of Jesus throughout the world.

• Lord, I denounce and rebuke the label that Pentecostal’s were extremists. I break the word curses released over William Seymour and the participants of this powerful movement as being extremely fanatical. Father God, I declare that what You call holy is indeed holy. I command every partnership with evil spirits who are in opposition to the Pentecostal Movement past, present and future be reversed in Jesus Name.

• Father, I decree and declare that the Azusa Street Movement of 1906 was an actual recurrence of the original outpouring of Your Holy Spirit as in Acts 2. 

The original outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 was the first generation for the launching of the Church. The second outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Azusa was for the fulfillment of the Church.

• I decree that, with the Azusa Street Movement of 1906, You established a new level of relationship as America truly became a nation under God, with Jesus Christ as its head and Your Holy Spirit as the point of convergence or the core. It was God’s progressive move to bring the Church to apostolic and prophetic fullness.

• I declare that today, as our nation has slipped in its passion for the things of God, I commit America, once again, as a nation under God’s dominion, signaling a rebirth of our spirituality, new adherence to Your laws and precepts and a wholesale return to those attitudes that gave this nation a favored status with the Heavenlies.  I pray that we, here, can experience the fullness of Your Spirit, tangibly, and that we can all take this fullness back to our home churches.  Today marks a new line in the sand.

• In conclusion, Lord, I break every assignment that was used to interrupt this move of the Spirit. I declare that the progression of Your plans and purposes cannot be stopped. I further decree that the Azusa Street Revival will spread, again, like wildfire, from this day forth in the Powerful and Glorious Name of Jesus!

Father God, I declare over the Azusa Street Revival that the Pentecostal Movement that occurred in the early 1900’s be restored to us today. Even as the drought that California is experiencing is a natural sign of a spiritual condition, I speak a total restoration of the Power and Glory of Your presence now. The Azusa Street Revival was a God ordained catalyst that started the fifth of seven Restoration Movements to bring the Church into its prophetic fulfillment, demonstrating the Kingdom of God to all nations. I proclaim the Azusa Street Revival continues to dynamically affect us in the days to come. Lord, what You supernaturally released to the small gathering in Los Angeles was divine and glorious.

We hunger for a move of the Spirit that surpasses the phenomenal outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Azusa Street. We are in need of Your Presence and declare that in the days ahead we will see the kratos miracle working power of Your presence, in Jesus Name Amen!
