562-945-2647 Fred Berry Obituary Frederick Glenn Berry was born in Del Rio, Texas on November 27, 1959 to Lawrence Berry and
Earline Folds Berry. He was the second of five children.
Reared in a military family, Fred traveled extensively in the United States, Africa, Brazil, Europe, and
Asia. He graduated from Northern Senior High School in Baltimore, MD where he also played tennis,
studied judo and was a catcher on the baseball team. He then attended the United States Air Force
Academy and was honorably discharged.
Fred accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was filled with the Holy Ghost in 1983. He answered
God’s call to ministry in 1992. He was ordained as an Elder with the Church of God in Christ under
Bishop Charles Blake and founded a para-church organization called Joshua Ministries, Inc. Fred was
charged by the Holy Spirit to begin using the name “Fred” rather than Ricky, his nickname. Soon he
met and married his wife, Wilma, on July 8, 1995. The two became affectionately known as “God’s
Living Flintstones.” From 1992 to 2001, Fred and Wilma were involved in youth ministry with the
B.O.S.S. program founded by Al & Hattie Hollingsworth, outreach, and missions in their local church,
West Angeles Church of God in Christ. Together, they also hosted Bonnie Brae celebrations and appeared
on TBN behind the scenes and the Love Boat program. The two also appeared together, teaching God’s
word and the historic spiritual legacy on the weekly TV program, All About Love, which aired throughout
Los Angeles from 1993-2006.
Fred had a Holy Spirit-inspired love of biblical and natural history and sought to teach others about
the historic legacy through an annual event called the Azusa Street Festival. In 2004, Fred and Wilma
were ordained as an apostle/prophet team with Christian International, a ministry founded by Apostle
Bill Hamon. In 2006, Fred served as Centennial Prayer officer on the Azusa Centennial Board, which
convened the 100th-anniversary gathering back to the Historic Azusa Street Mission. In that same year,
Fred and Wilma re-opened the Azusa Street Mission location and were commissioned by Apostle Bill
Hamon and the Christian International Board of regents to Pastor the new Azusa Street Mission. Since
that time of commissioning, they have taught the Apostolic Prophetic training sessions on Azusa Street
and have graduated over 5000 pastors and leaders into the present truth of God’s word concerning the
gifts of the Spirit and the prophetic realm. In April 2016, Fred and Wilma founded the Azusa Street
Apstolic Network that commissioned other five-fold ministers from France, North Africa, United States,
Canada, and Ghana.
On Tuesday morning, November 16, 2021, Frederick Glenn Berry, was called home to see his Lord. His
Mother Earline Folds Berry preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Wilma Berry; his father, Lawrence E. Berry; his brother
Kenneth M. Berry of Baltimore, MD, his three sisters, Sophia L.Berry of Baltimore, MD, Stephannie
Y.(Maurice J.Sr.) of Baltimore, Md and Sonya L. Passe’(Todd) of Sacramento, CA, his father-in-law,
Herman Swanier of New Orleans, LA, Mother-in-law, Gloria Swanier of New Orleans, LA, Sister-inlaw, Rolanda Martinez of New Orleans, LA and many nieces and nephews, many spiritual sons and
daughters; dear brothers and sisters who served alongside him doing the Lord’s work; and many church
family and friends spanning the globe.
Apostle Fred Berry, you’ve entered into your deserved rest and are spending it with the Father.
Until we meet again, we love and honor you. You shall be greatly missed. Friends you to can go to heaven when you breath you last breath... make Jesus you Lord & Savior! Pray this scripture: Romans 10: 9- 11 “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.””Romans 10:9-11 NKJVhttps://bible.com/bible/114/rom.10.9-11.NKJV If you pray this scripture and ask Jesus to come into your heart you will be saved! and we will be Family!
